Hello soon-to-be newlyweds
I am so happy we have found each other. To assure you we are the perfect fit here are the in-depth details of how I work.
-
Before I pursued my dream of making films, I worked at a start-up-now-very-successful wedding venue for six years. I understand that I am just a small part of all the components which make the day, and of course you don’t actually benefit from me until you see your films.
Except I do know the industry, and when you book me I am more than happy to share all of my advice on your order of the day, suppliers and other details. I have been known to repair dresses, cut the cake when the caterers failed to, and collect the bride in my camper van when her car didn’t collect her for the ceremony.
I am not a bad person to have around at your wedding.

Before the day
In the lead up to the big day I would like to get to know you as well as realistically possible. My service is personal and I work from the beginning to make the process simple.
The wedding day
By this time we will already feel like we know each other and I know how the day is playing out, so we can all relax and enjoy. I will not be directing or instructing you or your guests. I cannot stress enough how discreet I am - I know how distracting a camera in ones face can be from those special moments. I work with the photographer to ensure we do not affect each others work.
After the wedding
Nothing left for you to do except bask in the newlywed glow and enjoy your honeymoon.
For me, however, the edit process. I hope that you book me because you like the style of my films. I maintain a cinematic style which consists of visually beautiful moments from the day presented with carefully selected music, and actual audio from the day. I tell your personal story as opposed to creating a music video montage.
My priority is to create films you will love, therefore they have a bespoke element to them. This is why I love to get to know you and hear about which moments of the day you can’t wait to relive and which elements you’re worried about forgetting.

The base package price consists of:
The Trailer
A 3-5 minute film highlighting the most beautiful parts of your day. This film is likely to be non-linear and more artistic than the Feature. This is the film you are most likely to share.
The Feature
A much more in-depth film, this will certainly contain some of every part of the day in 15-20 minutes. The Feature tells the story of your entire day including taking you back through every emotion.
Films which can be added to the base package:
Full ceremony and full speeches
These are two documentary-style films showing your ceremony, and your speeches I real times exactly as they happen. These films are shot on three cameras and edited between the angles for more interesting viewing.
Delivered within 7 days of wedding (or 7 days of receiving payment if requested after the wedding day). This film will show the most beautiful moments of the day and is a great way to have something to look back on whilst you await your other films.
FOMO edit
A chance to see the ALL the footage taken of your day, offered to you as we approach your one year anniversary. Expect this to be over 3 hours long.

Contract and booking fee
After you’ve decided I am the videographer for your wedding, I will send you the contract and an invoice for the booking fee which is 10% of the base package. This secures the date and gives me the excitement of writing your names in my diary.
Keeping social
I love keeping in touch with my couples on the lead up to the big day and hearing some of the details about the wedding and how planning is coming along. Instagram is a great way to do this, and this also ensures that you don’t feel that a total stranger is turning up to film your wedding.
Payments
The first invoice will be for 50% of the base package sum and will arrive with you three calendar months before the big day, and the final invoice will be for the remaining 40% plus expenses and extras and will be with you one calendar month before the wedding date.
Details
With the final invoice I will also send a form to fill out asking for all the timings and locations of the day to ensure I am in the right place at the right time.
A final catch up
I find it essential to have a final meeting a week or two before the big day, this allows us to get excited together and for me to hear any last minute changes.

Yay I love a destination wedding, a combination of my two true loves - Love and travel. I travel myself off-season so I relish in the opportunity to incorporate beautiful shots of different types of scenery, culture and vibes into your films to help set the scene of your wedding.
The expenses which will incur include my airfare and two nights of accommodation. I am perfectly happy with a modest hotel or airb’n’b, all I require is a reasonable distance from the ceremony location, electricity, water and wi-fi. I will be responsible for booking flights and accommodation but will always seek your approval before booking.

How long do you film for?
Unlike some videographers and photographers I do not have a limited amount of hours or charge more for ‘late’ hours. I am committed to getting the shots that will make the film awesome. I arrive early to capture the preparations and stay however late I must to make sure I get that amazing dance floor action and any other activity you have planned - fireworks, sparklers, surprise karaoke etc etc etc.
How much editorial control do I have over the films?
My contract states that I have full editorial control. But my films are made for the couple. So I always listen to what your style and tastes are. This is the reason I get to you before your wedding.
Will it be possible for me to have the raw footage?
Roughly a year after your wedding I will be archiving your footage, meaning it may or may not be recoverable in the future. You will be contacted in plenty of time before I do this to give you the opportunity to purchase a FOMO edit. This is all the footage from the day in one film, expect this to be more than 3 hours long. This costs £500 which includes the hard drive and signed delivery.
Will all the best moments be filmed?
As a professional events film-maker, it is my duty to be well organise and know all the important timings and location of the day, which is why the pre-wedding discussions are so important. But also it is very important that the couple remembers that real life is unpredictable. The ceremony and speeches are hugely important for your films and I have measures in place to ensure I capture these.
Do you use a drone?
I do not personally fly a drone, the main reason for this is because during your day I much prefer to be capturing the action from the inside. However I do outsource to a trusted professional company to ensure your venue is captured the way you have in mind.
Can we choose the song for the film?
Licensing for well-known songs can be a small fortune or not available for purchase. Selecting the music is something I take great care in to reflect the true mood of your day, and after getting to know you your tastes. Being a bit of a music snob myself, this can sometimes take days! I am sure you will like my choice.
How many videographers will turn up to film?
It will just be me and a couple of cameras. However, if you would like both partners preparations captured, or would generally like to capture more of the mingling, for example, it is advisable that you let me know as soon as possible so I can organise a second shooter of the same professional standing as myself. This is charged to the couple and depends of availability of my favoured videographers.
